The Glendale Church is a multi-generational, multi-cultural, multi-lingual "family" located in the northwest Phoenix area, on the boundary between the cities of Phoenix (our side of the street) and Glendale (the other side of the street). We have two services every Saturday morning that provide a choice for worship preferences from casual-contemporary to traditional. Our ministries and programs reach out to every age and life stage. We encourage all our members to use their God-given gifts to participate and serve, to be active and involved.
Our Mission
The mission the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church is to
- Glorify God through praise, prayer, and worship
- Reach those around us with the Good News of God's Word
- Adopt people into the loving embrace of God's family
- Cultivate lifelong spiritual growth and discipleship
- Engage our abilities and gifts to serve our church, community, and world
Our Vision
The vision of the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church is to
- Tell our neighbors the Good News of Jesus' soon return in the context of the everlasting gospel, the character of God, and the distinctive truths given us to proclaim in these last days of earth's history.
- Raise our children to know and love Jesus, preparing them for earthly lives of service to God and humanity and for eternal life to come.
- Use our God-given material and spiritual resources to touch lives and bless others as Jesus did when He was on earth.
- Train every member to develop his or her maximum God-ordained potential for ministry and mission.
- Help hurting people from hearts motivated purely by the unconditional love of God for humanity.
Our Principles
The guiding principles of the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church are to
- Live the "Great Commandment," loving the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls and minds, and our neighbors as ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-39)
- Obey the "Great Commission," going to those around us, welcoming them to the family of God, leading them to spiritual maturity, and equipping them for ministry and mission. (Matthew 28:19)
- Value our church family, celebrating our diversity while joined in the unity of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:1-6)
- Exalt our Creator, revealing His character to the world around us through every thought, word and action. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
